Derita rejoins Pop Warner Little Panthers

Pop Warner Little Panthers is proud to announce that the Derita Redskins will be rejoining our Pop Warner family! The PWLP's board voted unanimously on Wednesday night to accept the Redskins back! The Redskins left in 2012 along with the Odell Eagles because of our inability at that time to play for a National Championship. That has since changed in 2015 when Mike Newell took over as President and converted the organization to the National model. Both Odell and Derita have rejoined Pop Warner Little Panthers stating that the "grass is certainly not greener on the other side"! This will bring an additional 160 players to our organization putting us just below the 3000 mark of players in and around the Charlotte area. Pop Warner has been in Charlotte since 1958 and is the largest youth football organization in the carolinas. Welcome back Derita Redskins!
